 Casper's Guides to the digital world for Non-Geeks Guide to uploading pictures To upload into an existing Gallery. The maximum picture size(file size in kb) that can be uploaded is 512kb. The maximum picture size (pixel size) is 1024 x 1024. For use on the web, an ideal size is about 800 x 600, for viewing on a gallery, at a quality of about 80%. For sending as an email attachment, about 400 x 300, and a quality of about 50% would be better. see the re-size tutorial for how to achieve the correct sizes. Click on the upload picture link. You have to be logged in to see this link. 
You will now have the upload box. You can upload up to 10 files from your computer, and/or 3 from another website. 
To upload from your computer, click the browse button, which will bring up the file browser. Navigate to the file you wish to upload and select by double clicking or click 'Open'. Do this for each pic you wish to upload. If you want to load a pic that is already on a website, fill in the full address of the pic, in the URI/URL boxes. Once ready to go on, click continue. Now you come to the page where you place the pics in the albums. You have this page come up for each pic you have uploaded.  First, select the album you want the pic to go in, from the drop down box. Every album you have permission to upload to will be shown, including your own personal ones, if you have created any.  Then fill in the picture name and description. The keywords box will allow the search facility to locate the pic better. Now click the continue button, and do the same for each pic.
