 Casper's Guides to the digital world for Non-Geeks Saving from the camera to the pc So, before we can edit the pics, we need to save them to our computers. Most of you will know how to do this, but some cameras give all sorts of different options, so let's start with the basics. Step 1, create a new folder for the pics to go in. For this tutorial, I am using pics taken at the Ace Cafe, on 28th March 2004, so I am creating a folder called 'ace 28304'. I have created this folder in my 'bikes' folder, within 'my documents'.  Step 2, for use later on, create another folder inside this one. I am calling mine 'for web'. Finally, connect your camera, or put your camera card in the card reader. Copy (download) all the pics (at BEST QUALITY if your camera gives you a choice) into the named folder. You should end up with a folder that looks like this;  That's it, end of stage 1.
